In 1994, I started residency in DokuzEylul University Medical School, Department of Emergency Medicine. I completed Fellowship Program in International EM in Pennsylvania StateUniversity (2005). I haveserved as thechairman of thedepartment in DEU (2005-2007). I havebeen in charge of the ED of BakirkoyResearchand Training Hospital (2007-2009), andthenfacultymember in Acıbadem University (2009-15).Inthemeantime (2011), I havealsoparticipated in therefreshmentworkfortheJointCommission International (JCI) certification in theAcibademBakirkoyHospital. At theend of 2015 I startedworking in theDept. ofEmergencyMedicine, IstanbulEducationandResearchHospital, Fatih, Istanbul.
I have served as a founder and a board member of The Emergency Medical Association of Turkey (2007-2009). 111 articles of mine were published in international journals. I have contributed in three books as editor, and authored 33 chapters. I’m serving as a member of The Editorial Board in a number of journals. I’m also an instructor of the American Heart Association-based Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course.
Celestine Okwuone, serves as a Chief of Anesthesia for NAPA. Prior to joining NAPA, he was the Medical Director at an acute care hospital in Florida and an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Penn State and Florida State University.
Okwuone is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology and the Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography. Okwuone received his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Benin in Benin City, Nigeria. He went on to complete his residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY followed by fellowship training in cardiac anesthesia at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH. Pradipta Bhakta (MD, DNB, MNAMS, FCAI, EDRA), have graduated in medicine from Calcutta University, West Bengal, India in 1995. Then he did my postgraduation in Anaesthesiology for University College of Medicine, West Bengal, India in 2001. After working about 1 year in West Bengal, I joined as senior Resident in anaesthesia in All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India the premier medical institute of India. After that (2006) he moved to Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, Muscat, Oman and worked there for 6 years initially as registrar and then as senior registrar before coming to Ireland in 2012. In Ireland he worked in several hospitals in rotational training as well as working experience as SHO and Registrar. Presently he is working as registrar in University Genral Hospital Kerry, Tralee, Ireland. He published his first publication in Indian Journal of Anaesthesia in 2000. Now he had 42 national, international publications to his credit. He is a reviewer of eminent jounals like British Journal of Anaesthesia, European Journal of Anaesthesia, Journal of Clinical Anaesthesia, Journal of Critical Care, Acta Anaesthesiologica Taiwanica, Indian Journal of Anaesthesia. He is in editorial board of about 12 journals. He had done his first study in Kolkata, India on intranasal midazolam as premedication in paediatric patients which is published in Indian Journal of Anaesthsia. He did his dissertation on efficacy of propofol based anaesthesia in reduction of postoperative nausea and vomiting in laparoscopic surgeries which is under process of publication.
Mallat is certified by the French Board of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine, with additional subspecialty certification in Critical Care Medicine. He is a member of several professional societies, including the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, The Intensive Care Society, The French Society of Intensive Care, and the European Society of Anaesthesiology.
Mallat’s main fields of research investigation are acute circulatory failure and its management, venous-to-arterial CO2 gradient and tissue hypoperfusion in septic shock, hemodynamic monitoring, heart-lung interactions, acid-base disturbances, respiratory mechanics, and non-invasive ventilation. He has published more than 40 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and is the author of several didactic reviews.
Mallat has received his medical degree from the University of Lille II Faculty of Medicine in Lille, France. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine at the University Hospital of Lille, France, where he also completed his fellowship in Critical Care Medicine.
