Heat transfer to two-phase flow, friction loss and heat transfer studies of suspensions of nano and small particles along with industrial applications are my major research areas,Particle characterization by heat transfer and friction loss for fibers was extensively investigated by me. I have the interest to elaborate that further. This helps in paper making process. Drag reduction was investigated by me. I would like to engage in that so that materials could be transported through pipe line at low cost,Friction loss and heat transfer to fluids in packed bed or porous media are also under my research plan which will benefit reactor performance of petrochemical industries.
This is Kazi Md. Salim Newaz, PhD, Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Malaya. I have 18 years engineering service experience in petrochemical industries (ammonia and urea plants). I was Head of Engineering and Construction of a chemical plant producing sulfuric acid and single super phosphate for 2 years. I have the academic background with B. Sc. in Engineering (Mechanical), Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Master of Engineering (Mechanical) and Ph. D in Heat transfer and Fouling Mitigation (Chemical and Materials Engineering). I worked as a part-time consultant of an International Company, where I worked in a consulting team for gas pipelines layout and installation, gas drilling environment management etc. I have also worked for 11/2 years as plant Manager of a Hydrogen Peroxide Plant of capacity 60 ton per day.
