Branko Matovic is a scientific advisor and head of Centre for synthesis, processing and characterization of materials for application in extreme condition. He finished dissertation in Materials Science at the Max-Planck-Institute for Metals Research and the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Stuttgart, Germany. He did postdoctoral research at the Centre for Manufacturing of Advanced Ceramics and Nanomaterials, Quins University, Canada.He managed the projects of basic scientific research (2) innovative projects (4), and international projects (5). Currently he is leader of a project of integral and interdisciplinary research and two international projects. He is a member of the editorial board of the journal with SCI list (Processing and Application of Ceramics)He is president of the Serbian Society for Ceramic Materials.

Sergio Baragetti is Full Professor of Machine Design and Computational Mechanics at the Università degli Studi di Bergamo - Italy. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering in 1994 from Politecnico di Milano. Ph.D in Quality Engineering in 1998, Università di Firenze. His research activities include numerical and experimental study of the effects induced by surface treatments on the fatigue behaviour of mechanical components, the study of the corrosion fatigue mechanisms in aqueous environments, the study of the surface thin hard coatings effects on the fatigue, contact fatigue and corrosion fatigue behaviour of mechanical components. Components and structures analysis: evaluation of the limit load for hydraulic actuators, evaluation of fatigue resistance for innovative railway undercarriages, study and optimisation of conical threaded connections for oil applications, design of devices for fatigue tests, design of crankshafts and connecting rods, design of components for lifting appliances, design of highly accelerated inert vibrating screening units and probabilistic analysis of components and structures. He is the Director of GITT - Centre on Innovation Management and Technology Transfer of the University of Bergamo. He is the Director of the Structural mechanics Laboratory of the University of Bergamo. He is the author of more than 210 papers and patents.

Dr Manoj Gupta was a former Head of Materials Division of the Mechanical Engineering Department and Director designate of Materials Science and Engineering Initiative at NUS, Singapore. In August 2017 he was highlighted among Top 1% Scientist of the World Position by The Universal Scientific Education and Research Network. To his credit are: (i) Disintegrated Melt Deposition technique and (ii) Hybrid Microwave Sintering technique, an energy efficient solidâ€state processing method to synthesize alloys/micro/nanoâ€composites. He has published over 455 peer reviewed journal papers and owns two US patents. His current hâ€index is 56, RG index is 46 and citations are greater than 12500. Professor Erwan Rauwel comes from France where he defended his PhD of Materials Chemistry in 2003 at the University of Caen, CRISMATand then defended his Habilitation in 2012. He held a postdoctoral position Minatec, Grenoble (2004), Research fellow at the University of Aveiro with a Marie Curie EIF grant (2006) and University of Oslo as senior researcher with a Marie Curie support grant (2009) he is now Professor at Tallinn University of Technology, Tartu College and he is more particularly interested in the study of metal and metal oxide nanoparticles for biomedical applications and energy harvesting. He is consulting editor for International journal of Nanomedicine and has been Guest Editor for Special issue on silver nanoparticles. He has published over 57 scientific papers, 4 book chapters and he owns 4 international patents in the field of thin film deposition and nanoparticles synthesis. He is coordinator of a research project on metal nanoparticles applied to biomedical application and is involved in a Centre of Excellence “EQUiTANT†till 2023.
