Awarded several scientific and educational awards, among them is the British Council on its 70th Anniversary awarded him top five scientists in Cultural Relations. Best paper award in international conference in 2017. One patent on Physical methods for the separation of iron oxides. A founding member of the Supreme Council of Iraqi Scientific Societies. Also participated in the membership of many national committees in Iraq and Jordan, such as the International Hydrological Program, the Geological Correlation Committee, and the Higher Education Development Committee in Jordan. Member of several International scientific societies like International Association of Hydrological Sciences, Chartered Institution of Water and Environment Management, the International Federation of Hydro-Environmental Engineering and the International Association for Development and Sustainability. Established and President (till 1995) of the Iraqi Water Resources Society. Established the Rafidain Organization for protection and development of Water Resources in Iraq (NGO). Participated in many training courses. The last training courses was with UNESCO for the improvement of performance of the Iraqi universities staff members. I am an awardee for the UASP Alumni Grant by the International Research and Exchange Board (IREX), USA, for “Implementation of the Online Scholarship System and Research Platforms to enhance research, capacity building and training project for the CHS.” I have four years of experience as an Assistant Director for Research Funding at the University of Botswana, working closely with the School of Medicine and building local and international partnerships and external funding agencies. I successfully administered projects funded by Botswana, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Dubai, the United States of America (USA), South Africa, and Zimbabwe, collaborated with other researchers, and produced several peer-reviewed publications and conference proceedings.
