Abstract

The paper proposes the theory of a cognitive living Multiverse, centered on the singularity in consciousness. It posits that the universe is a step superficial to the multiversal system, emerging from the independence of unfolding cognitive faculties within a bounded system. The theory is based on abstraction, reasoning, and rationalization across sub-subquantum, subquantum, and quantum voids. At the border of subquantumquantum void, information splits into space, time, and energy, marking the beginning of the universe. The roles of life, both subtle and as a life-form shaping the universe, are highlighted. Several ontological reversals are noted: consciousness guides cognition, information generates its own time, and matter is sourced from life. The Singularity in consciousness is approximated bottom-up from the singularity of Information. The paper discusses areas of possible collaboration with the physical multiverse theory and concludes with reflections on the immortality and mortality of the multiverse and universes.

Introduction

The author’s first publication on Supracortical Consciousness was in 1985 [1]. In the same year, the author wrote a Bengali poem on the Cognitive Multiverse, with its essence as Multiversal Consciousness (Bishwantar Chaitanya). The English translation of the poem is provided below.

When the Multiversal Consciousness comes to dwell within me,
Only then does the river of my life flow upon its true course, free.
Consciousness breathes life into inert matter.
Summons a surging flood into the barren desert;
The DNAs, —touched and imbued by consciousness—
Finds ultimate fulfilment in the Abode of Love, conscious and alert.
All chemical elements that lay gathered there—
Within the confines of that primordial “soup”—
Suddenly, consciousness awakened within them,
Silently, secretly, in quiet solitude!
Then began the grand cosmic play—
The unfolding drama from Amoeba to Man;
And today, from the very cortex of the human brain,
Consciousness speaks of its own game.
Shattering the chains of countless ages,
Millions of souls are now surging forward—
Seeking to bridge the vast chasm—
Millions of years since their very Origin, to a way upward.
Yet, it is their nature to dwell in judgment of the past;
They retreat time and again into the subconscious depths;
Enshrouding themselves within a blind past,
They perish, consumed solely by fear and lack of faith.
Dispel that fear, have faith on this very day!

Let the shackles of the subconscious be shattered to dust;
Let all souls break free in unison—
Escaping the confines of decay and stagnation—
For all must attain that ultimate state—
The Abode of Ananda and Bliss, meant for everyone’s ultimate fate.
When the Multiversal Consciousness comes to dwell within me,
Only then does the river of my life flow upon its true course, free.

Unlike the physical multiverse theory or other theories prevalent in Astrophysics (e.g., Steady State Theory, Cyclical Theory), the multiversal consciousness in the poem includes operators like consciousness, cognitive self, and “life”. It has processes like cognitive evolution of Homo sapiens from unicellular life, breaking the shackles of the blind past, overcoming the fear of death, and accepting the loving guidance of a spiritual Supreme Essence of Ananda and Bliss, independent of any deity.

The concept of multiple universes appears in ancient spiritual texts such as the Upanishads. The term “multiverse” was coined by William James in 1895 and was used only in a philosophical context, never used to describe multiple physical or cognitive universes. The mystic-spiritualist-philanthropisteducationist, a versatile genius, Akhandamandaleshwar Sri Swami Swarupananda Paramahansa Dev from India, described by the author as an Astounding Supracortical Autonomy, laid down the metaphysics of the Akhanda Worldview in the 1920s, and coined the term “The Multiversity” in 1927, for naming an educational institution he was establishing in the forest of Pupunki village, in the state of Jargram, India. The Institute reflects the Earth’s mirror of a cosmology greater than that of the scientific cosmology of the 1920s.

The author has put the thoughts together and elaborated on the terminology. The English word universe does not have a plural. The plural of the word universe is ‘multiverse’. The system of multiple universes is called “The Multiversity”. We live on Earth in the Planetary system of the star, the Sun. Approximately 1011 stars are supposed to make a galaxy, and 1011 galaxies a Universe. The system of Multiple Universes constitutes the system, The Multiversity. The Infinity is intellectually incomprehensible. The largest intellectually comprehensible infinity is not the finite universe but the systems of multiple universes (s), the Multiversity. The source of multiple universes was named “the Essence of the Multiversity”, composed of Consciousness-Mother Nature, Ananda-Bliss, Will-Wisdom and Designer-Architect. Mother Nature is the executive front, the kinetic pole, the mobile facets of consciousness. She is the nature of all natures since the rest of the whole ecosystem of nature is an extension of or derived from this primordial nature.

The Theory of Cognitive Multiverse is connected with cognitive science, neuroscience, and the physical science of spacetime- energy. The author’s books in subsequent years are titled,

The Akhanda Metaphysics has taken a comprehensive shape and texture in the twenty-first century for a Science that accommodates Humanity and the Spirit and is able to deal with the mind-created divisions of an Indivisible consciousness.

Gathering Materials

Twin theories

A theory is a construction by the ‘mind’ and ‘self’ based on the experiences in ‘life’. Supracortical Consciousness and Cognitive Multiverse are monozygotic twins. In supracortical consciousness, the being from inside the brain can sense the environment as if the cerebral cortex and rostral brainstem were a holographic sensor. The physical universe is our cortical construct. No one has objectively observed the whole universe, measured it, or reduced it into an experimental model for scientific study. On a human scale, sensing outside the brain-consciousness is, in the universal scale, equivalent to sensing the essence outside the physically constructed universe. Consciousness supervening all brains on the planet Earth, and the consciousness supervening all planets, stars, galaxies and universes are identical in substance and in properties.

As environmental supracortical-consciousness outside the brain influences the brain’s functions in its behavioral outcome for a transmissive brain, so the essence of the systems supervening several universes influences the life-history of the individual universe. This Essence or consciousness is the repository of the Ground (without background) and its kinetics: Consciousness and Mother Nature, Ananda and bliss, Will and Wisdom. Designer and Architect. Will and wisdom are objective properties of consciousness observed even by a neurophysician during the recovery stage of an unconscious patient. Ananda and Bliss are abstract, subjective, and experiential, for which supracortical consciousness needs to be biologized at the limbic nuclei of the brain following a long process of formatting the cortical and subcortical neural structures. Designer-Architect description is for technologists.

Akhanda versus holistic metaphysics

“Akhanda” is a Sanskrit term that means unbreakable, indivisible whole. “Holistic” is an English word, derived from the Greek word “holos”, which refers to viewing a whole as a system of interdependent operational parts that must be considered together, but can still be conceptually distinct. It was coined by Jan Smuts, a South African philosopher, British Commonwealth statesman, and military leader.

Because of their respective nature, the mind operates by creating divisions, and consciousness operates by uniting. Consciousness is at the core of this word “Akhanda”, while the mind serves as the prime operator in the “holistic” approach. Human beings possess both mind and consciousness. Their subtle labyrinthine hierarchy creates the distinction between science and spirituality. Science focuses on the physical nature, operating at the level of the mind. Investigations of the nature of consciousness are spiritual. An Akhanda, as an individual, is a First-Person- Universal swimming in the Multiversal Consciousness.

Motivations

Motivations shaping a cognitive theory of the multiverse

The theory of supracortical consciousness was based on his spiritual experience, cumulated over his empirical research on experimentally induced hydrocephalic brains of rabbits during postgraduation at AIIMS, New Delhi. Writing a poem on the multiversal consciousness is an intuitive leap. Encounters with voids of different depths turned out to be the portals for theorization.

“If the cause is silent,
And the Time is still.
Nothingness in Life,
And, Emptiness under the heel.
Like a massless quantum, I remain,” [2. p.91].
“Not all Silence is the absence of cause,
Not all Stillness is the absence of time
Not all Emptiness is subatomic void
Not all Nothingness is the absence of rhyme.”
“There is Silence which broods Cause!
There is Stillness which generates Time with pause,
There is a Void from which the Universe is born!
Ananda shines when nothingness is torn!” [3. p.92].

Generative Void dissolves the illusion of absence, redefines ‘Absence’ as a Reality of creation. The architecture of the new space, and a new time, is seen in the design hidden in Nothingness’s rhyme, as logic. Further motivation to develop a cognitive theory of the multiverse is (i) gathered from the possibility of making a science of quantum, subquantum and sub-subquantum voids, (ii) strengthened by the role of intelligence and logic in formulating a theory of singularity in consciousness, and (iii) inspired by the writings of Max Planck, Niels Bohr, Wolfgang Pauli, Erwin Schrödinger, Alex Vilenkin, and several others, all of whom admit that their theories have an origin deep in their minds. To James Jeans, “The universe looks more and more like a great thought rather than a great machine.” To quote Einstein, “I want to know God’s thoughts; the rest are details.” The question hits again and again: where do our thoughts and intuitive ideas come from if the universe were only physical? Words are caged birds. Spontaneous thoughts and ideas come from the voids.

The author sees the Greek Philosopher Trio, Socrates (469- 399 BC) as the embodiment of several properties of consciousness, Plato (427-347 BC) as of the self, and Aristotle (384-322 BC) as of the mind. Socrates rejected the speculative philosophy of physical cosmology and reportedly viewed human beings as microcosms and the universe as the macrocosm, both ordered by the Divine. Plato’s universe is rational but living, a moving image of eternity, created by a Divine craftsman. Love, a property of the Self, is described as Platonic. For John Eccles, the ‘self’ occupies a Platonic position. Aristotle visualized the universe as a finite, centered on the earth (geocentric). Their work is principally at the level of abstraction, pure reason, and rationalization, respectively. Consciousness abstracts. Intelligent ‘self’ reasons out. Mind rationalizes.

What is mind, self and consciousness? Many present consciousness researchers fail to distinguish consciousness from the mind and self. The mind cuts consciousness into two, originates in duality, makes the boundary, and serves as an organ of communication between two conscious systems. Their distinction is elaborated in the author’s earlier paper [5] and in website [6]. The ‘self’ functions as the CEO of the President of the system, Consciousness. Consciousness is objectively and unequivocally recognized by the ability to make a will or won’t. With a bit of humor, I always say that we are in the quest for the four forces of nature, but consistently miss our will force within. Psychologists have long sought a comprehensive model of the psyche to reconcile consciousness, mind, self, and life with the brain’s information management system. Spiritualists see the ‘soul’ and God in the Earth, stars, the universe, and the Multiverse.

Meanwhile, I started working on the Science of Information [7-11]. Isn’t the word ‘chance’ an antithesis of information? Is a spiritual Mantra nothing but information on the Divine? Isn’t the source of information empirically a self-life unity? What followed are the science of Life [12,13] the science of System Psyche, a cognitive orchestra [14,15] and the Ladder of Cognition [16,17] across different depths of voids. I also published Deep Science of Cosmo Neurology [18] and Genesis in the language of science [19] arguing that the universe began not with any bang but with the phenomenon of Information-split in solitude and quietude. The theoretical works find technological relevance in the prescription of the BIST (Biologically Inspired System Technology) model for AI [20] and the interrelationship of the energy triad (see later).

Inspirations from the works of astrophysicists on genesis and the multiverse theory

Fred Hoyle, Hermann Bondi, and Thomas Gold proposed a Steady State Theory of the Universe in 1948, which was dismissed based on the results of the Radio Source surveys, the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB), and the evolution of galaxies. Hoyle also collaborated for 40 years with Chandra Wickramasinghe to pioneer the theory of cometary panspermia in the late 1970s. According to them, “life” has a cosmic origin; intergalactic space is filled with life materials such as naked DNA and RNA, in addition to ionized gas and plasma, and those life materials were brought to Earth by comets [21].

While no one other than the present author has been so far engaged in developing the Cognitive Multiverse Theory (CMT), several scientists are developing the Physical Multiverse Theory (PMT). In 1929, Edwin Hubble’s seminal paper revealed multiple galaxies in our universe and described the universe as a finite entity both in horizon and in age. The initial hint of the existence of multiple realities existing simultaneously came from Erwin Schrodinger in 1952. However, he did not pursue the idea. Hugh Everett proposed the “Many Worlds” interpretation of Quantum Mechanics (quantum multiverse) in 1957. The cosmological multiverse came into existence in the 1980s through the cosmic inflation theory (Alan Guth), the universe spawning continuously separate bubble universes. Physicist Andrei Linde’s Eternal Inflation theory (1986) refined the idea, saying that the universe we live in is one of the many with different laws of physics. Although speculation on possible several universe(s) started from ‘anthropic reasoning’ around 1970-80s, it is in early 2000s the formulation of the idea of the multiverse took a definite shape in astrophysics by the works of several lead edge cosmologists such as Lee Smolin (black hole within black hole theory) and Archibald Wheeler (worm hole theory), Steven Weinberg (anthropic reasoning), and [22-27].

The Method: Construction of the Cognitive Multiverse

The Genesis could be described in three phases using the method of abstraction, Reasoning and Rationalization. Consciousness abstracts. The ‘self’ reasons out. The mind rationalizes.

Abstraction

Abstraction begins with the attempt to transition from a non-system state to a system. One finds an expression that consciousness is one and only One as the Ground with an executive front, even though there is nothing outside consciousness within and across Infinities. Consciousness’s intrinsic dual qualities/ properties are focused: the Ground and an Executive front expressed in different ways as Consciousness-Mother Nature, Ananda-Bliss, Will-Wisdom, Designer-Architect. The latter ones are the operative front of the former. The shake-up in the unity of the Ground and its executive front creates the first primordial Information, the Information on the supreme Divine. This Information has been expressed in most of the spiritual orders as AUM Figure 1 the remembrancer of the Multiversal Musical Code (MMC). The Genesis begins with a ‘will’ to create self-similar patterns. The executive fronts are drawn into action: Mother Nature of Consciousness, Bliss facet of Ananda, Wisdom of Will, and the Architect of the Designer. Bubbles of multiple self-similar patterns originate as individual multiverses. While the nonsystem consciousness exists as the original Essence, the systems remain as a system of the multiverses. The created system cannot blossom without the ability of individual cognition and a management system of each one’s own.

Reasoning

The transition to reasoning begins when a system has its own boundary, distinguishing itself from the whole, and acquires cognitive intelligence. The self is the operator in reasoning.

Each blue-sky system already has a boundary (mind). Self, identical in substance and properties of its Boss, but operative for its own system, is designated as CEO to manage the intention of consciousness as the President Figure 1 of the non-system Vast. The self creates logic for judgment, looks after the system’s lawand- order situations, and makes decisions. Life’s roles are also defined; managing the intention in consciousness’s will, according to the instructions from the CEO, converting intentions into a letter of intent, and having taken the mind in confidence, breaking the intent into informative instructions. Life is also to manage the logistics and homeostasis during the growth of the system. Self is consciousness-similar, while Life is Mother Nature-similar. Self is closest to Ananda Will and the Designer, while Life is closest to Bliss Wisdom and the Architect.

The results of reasoning following abstraction are primarily three. (i) The cognitive orchestra with consciousness, self, life, and mind is formed for systems management. (ii) In the context of spirituality, the Mantra ...AUM… operates as the Information on the Divine. (iii) For doing science, this primordial information, Multiversal Musical Code (MMC), breaks up into four units to manifest as information on the conformity of the whole, the dynamicity of the whole, the rhythm of the whole, and the openness of the whole. Music, the rhymes, carry coded logic for decoding and re-encoding.

The entities like self, life, and the primordial information, as AUM/MMC, are generated by fission and are, therefore, immortal. No natural death exists for them. They return to their respective sources when the boundary (mind) dissolves, following the ground and its kinetics become one. Mind functions are retained as long as the duality remains.

Rationalization

The transition to rationalization begins when the system misses the Truth, develops independence and individuality, and applies its own logic, all of which result from the mind’s activities that rationalizes. The self loses the primordial episodic memory of the earlier phenomenon, ‘life’ loses emotional memory of the episode, and the mind loses its semantic memory on its genesis. Memory begins with life, and life distributes this memory to the consciousness, self and mind for storage, keeping something for itself. No life, no memory!

In the unconditional state, consciousness swallows up all actualities into its own Reality. In the phase of rationalization, the self, as the CEO of consciousness, collapses probabilities into actuality. Life, at the phase of reasoning, in line with consciousness, builds symmetry. During rationalization, life breaks symmetry. When the mind is in line with consciousness, as in the phase of reasoning, it creates coherence. Mind decoheres during rationalization. Individual cognitive faculty leaves history behind, starts afresh with freedom to build their own system.

Infinity enters into a messy phase across the sub-subquantum and subquantum void. The independent ‘self’ conjugates with independent ‘life’ to create a set of information. This information conjugates with the mind (Figure 1). The result? The genesis quietly enters an epochal era, the creation of space, time, and intangible dark energy.

The Method: Creation of the Universe

Consciousness cannot be reduced, objectively observed or measured. From that irreducible, fathomless state, and the subjective consciousness of the Abstraction phase that never sleeps, what comes objectively first is the ability of independent cognition as described earlier. Space, time, and energy are only mental constructs infused with information acquired through this cognitive process.

Information is a Latin word derived from the combination of a verb, “informare”, and a noun, “informatio”. Information is thus an action noun as shown in Figure 2. There is a “form” within the spelling of information itself, which is delivered by the mind as space and time, along with the delivery of dark energy.

In colloquial language, information impregnates the mind, which delivers space, time and energy. Information is the father; Mind is the mother. Space, Time and Energy are their three children (Figure 2b). We are not forwarding any equation between five entities: information, mind, time, space, and energy. We describe them within a relationship. Pregnancy, delivery, and parenthood are multidimensional (11-dimensions of Kaluza and Klein). The delivered energy is information-sourced and is dark. Time begins with the splitting of information.

Impregnation is a secret and silent event. The process of birth is a quiet, sacred phenomenon in solitude. The result: Information splits into space, time and energy, not with a big bang but in quietude. Read the poetic description by the author of this epochal phenomenon, written in 2005.

“I was looking at my Mind!
Between Infinity and Me,
Often distinct, often an ever-fading line!
It is my Mind!”
“Passively, on itself it winds.
In action, it grows mighty wings.
Between the Finite and Infinite
An amazing swing!
It is my Mind.”
“One day, Information approaches her,
With passion, aggression and intense desire!
In his captivating charm, she submits to conceive.
Through nonlocal communication, she perceives.
A command to deliver ‘Form ‘,
Which is the information inside!”
“The play of Love, Sex and Aggression,
It happens outside the scientist ‘s box of vision!
What one observes are only quantum fields!
The measurable entity, within a scientist ‘s skill.”
“Born are Energy, Time and Space.
Visible children from Infinity ‘s mess!”
“There are Fields and all the more.
Energy and matter, a gala furore!”
“Scientists get busy playing with them.
Conceals Infinity, how it so became.”

The implications of the Information split phenomenon are shown in Figure 3a.

The ‘self’, the operator of cognition, the CEO of consciousness, maintains simultaneity, continuity and identity, and is thus outside the scope and the scale of relativity, quantum discontinuity and entropy. Relativity excludes simultaneity, Quantum Mechanics continuity, and the barrier of entropy identity. In split-self and multiple-self disorders of psychiatry, there is no continuity or simultaneity of multiple/split self(s), maintaining different identities.

What is the role of life-as-subtle in the scenario? A cognitive life-form Figure 3c stands at the border of nature within Planck’s scale, and nature outside Planck’s scale and is engaged in this interconversion of dark and tangible energy. The conversion of dark energy to dark matter is also a feat of subtle life. It is questionable whether the dark matter-atomic matter conversion and reconversion are done by subtle life Figure 3b. It is not known whether the Higgs Boson generation is affected by the subtleties of life! Besides energy homeostasis, it maintains symmetryasymmetry homeostasis and brings coherence in mind-induced decoherence. Life subtly operates as the aesthetic and logistic manager.

Number of possible universes in the physical and cognitive multiverse

i. At the beginning, at the time of random fluctuations, an infinite number of universes existed in potential, in probability mode, out of which 10223 or more came into actuality. Those who believe in the Anthropic principle add that out of these 10223 universe(s) at least one, i.e., ours, succeeded in acquiring the essential requirements for the emergence and sustenance of life.

ii. According to M-theory, there are 10500 Universes. There are 10500 different ways to curl up seven extra dimensions of space. The way we, 3-dimensional creatures, see this curling determines for us the fundamental constants of this speculative physics (Michael Turner). No such predicted number of universes exists in the Cognitive Multiverse Theory. The possibilities are as numerous as the number of life-forms in the universe.

Discussion

PMT and CMT compared

This Third communicating system is of four kinds, discussed in Table 1 Chapter 26 of Conquering the Brain (1995).

Value addition by the CMT model at three levels: Individual, environment, and society

What value do such ideas of the multiverse add to astronomy or cosmology, or to humanity and the world? “Can you prove that unseeable parallel universes are vital to explain the world we do, see? And is the link essential and inescapable” [28,29]? True, only when the topic is limited to dry intelligence as an idea, a theory without experience. There is little value addition to the individual, society and the environment by PMT. However, when a theory like CMT is grounded in experience, it brings value in all three spheres. To get out of the universe is not an escape nor a substitution for a religious deity. “Escape does not bring the victory and the crown”, and also, “a huge extinction is not God’s desire” (Sri Aurobindo, in Savitri). Staying in a single universe generates isolation, ego, decay, interference, and a need for theological deification. Multiple universes offer several alternatives. Multiversal consciousness, however, is not switching from one universe to another. Multiversal consciousness is consciousness supervening all universes, supervening all brains. The experience of the essence of the multiversal consciousness initiates inner transformation by reformatting the experiencer’s brain. The “forms” within the geometry of thought of multiversal consciousness initiate a new kind of formatting of the neural assemblies, leading to attitudinal transformation, which has individual, biological and social impacts. The individual becomes free from conflict, non-interfering, nonviolent, and humble. He is in harmony with automation (automated robotic machine), others’ autonomy, and collective holonomy within and between the systems biology. He makes the society safe, the economy free of greed, and the planetary environment free of pollution

Criticism of CMT

CMT is not without criticism. “It is Nonsense!” say several critics of mine. Similar comments were made by some of my colleagues at AIIMS Delhi, on supracortical consciousness as well. I have a reply from the neurons of the cerebral cortex. When a first-layer cerebral cortical neuron sends a message to a neuron in the bottom sixth layer of the cerebral cortex, the sixth-layer neuron screams, “What nonsense!” The cool first-layer neuron responds with a hum. “You handle sensory reality and always remain in the senses. What I send to you is not nonsense but a non-sensory perception of reality!” (The Dynamic Web of Supracortical Consciousness, 1987). Therefore, remain curious and open to learning with your transmissive brain.

CMT is also a model

Models help study. The model supposedly depicts the truth, but it is not the Truth itself. Understanding the model helps us approach the truth objectively, but the truth is a matter of subjective experience, except when expressed as an objective wisdom. Logic, or mathematics, does not provide the final proof. However, they help predict based on the theory. When the theory has internal consistency, stands on Occam’s razor, shows explanatory power, and its logic predicts events, then the appearance of supportive evidence of different grades is a matter of time. The testable model of CMT is the human body, which represents the Multiverse, and individual cells are individual universes. Cognitively, the boundary of cortical consciousness determines the boundary of our universe!

Relationship between CMT and PMT

CMT is a Top-down theory. PMT is a Bottom-up theory. PMT originates in the quantum void. CMT originates in the subsubquantum void, and its universe originates from the border of the subquantum-quantum void. The initial conditions differ in CMT and PMT. CMT has its own principles and constants. PMT has its own. CMT, however, does not violate the constants and the laws of physics. PMT have no reach to the constants and principles of CMT.

Walking on the best street of New York City or the Kartavya Path in New Delhi does not offer any clue to trek Mount Everest. Or, examination of the kinematic data of leg movements or the ECG of an arrhythmic heart does not reveal the mechanisms of whole-brain function. In the same way, PMT cannot illuminate CMT. CMT is expected to resolve several unsolved problems in PMT or dissolve them altogether.

Possible areas of Collaboration between CMT and PMT

Can Mathematics connect them?

Max Tegmark’s mathematical universe offers strong support for the concept of the cognitive multiverse. Cognitive multiverse is not an extension of the boundary of the existing universe as Metaverse, not hyperdimensional or multidimensional interconnected bubbles as in a metaverse, not a display of the superposed universe of quantum nature, where the cat is simultaneously dead in one and alive in another, because two different universes obey different laws. Cognitive Multiverse is Tegmark’s multiverse Type IV [26], which features room for an infinite number of nested Hubble spheres, sourced from a single substance, governed by identical laws, possibly with contingent modifications.

Origin of space time, dark energy

With Information-split, begins creation of Time, Space and dark energy, which instantly initiates inflation of the universe Figure 3a. PMT is silent on the genesis of dark energy.

Thoughts and physical forms

Space and time are used in the formation of both physical forms and thoughts. Space and time are the ingredients of Gravity. Thoughts have different geometric shapes and frequencies. The cognitive limits of an evolved brain for the space (10-32cm) and time (10-45sec) are set by Max Planck.

Life

Life-as-such is formless, called as a homeostasis manager, to manage inflation initiated by dark energy. Life converts intangible dark energy into an intangible form of matter, dark matter Figure 3b, that contracts space.

‘Life’ becomes a ‘life-form’ in favorable circumstances, and continues to thrive as a natural holograph of Consciousness- Mother Nature. Trillions of Life-forms in the vast cosmos are avid consumers of dark energy. The author often thinks that this space-time enclosure of life’s material ingredients as a life-form is a successful feat of cosmic operators in handling the inflation. Life-forms, however, retain subtlety of life. So, it acts locally but can communicate nonlocally, a property required to evolve.

The statement of Louis Pasteur, quoted by Arthur Koestler, appears relevant here.

“I have been looking for spontaneous generation for twenty years without discovering it. No, I do not judge it impossible. But what allows you to make it the origin of life? You place matter before life, and you decide that matter has existed for all eternity. How do you know that the incessant progress of science will not compel scientists […] to consider that life has existed during eternity, and not matter? You pass from matter to life because your intelligence of today […] cannot conceive things otherwise. How do you know that in ten thousand years, one will not consider it more likely that matter has emerged from life?” [30]

As an electrical charge is the source of electromagnetic force, the source of the strong force is the color of the quarks. This color, considered as the primordial color, is a quality from which emerges a quantity of force! This color stimulates speculation that this might be sourced from the subtle part of life! Particles without color, such as leptons, cannot ‘feel’ the strong force; particles having color, for example, the quarks, do ‘feel’ the strong force.

Also, life-as-such might be responsible for the great matterantimatter asymmetry in the universe.

Standard physics, silent on ‘life’, gets stuck with the problems of uncertainty, asymmetry, and dark energy. I identify an entity as alive when it can overcome uncertainty, make new symmetry, and transform dark energy into tangible energy! However, without real-time involvement of ZPE, where a life-form stands, the science of physical phenomena can’t shake hands with the science of biological phenomena.

Signals

Space-time-tangible energy combination forms a signal Figure 3c in the 4-D world, a digitized information at the lowest rung of the ladder of cognition.

Consciousness mission

The members of the cognitive orchestra are the trustees of the consciousness mission, subtle energy and information holograph are of consciousness’s educational society Figure 4.

As said at the outset, the wisdom is the executive front of the ‘will’ from the ground consciousness. Informational state of wisdom breaks up into four: entities carrying information on the conformity of the whole, the dynamicity of the whole, the rhythm of the whole, and the openness of the whole. At the level of rationalization, we get them respectively as a conformon, a photon, a phonon, and a neutrino. In the previous phase of reasoning, they could respectively be expressed as Conformon-Equivalent of Consciousness (Conf-E-C), Photon-Equivalent of Consciousness (Phot-E-C), Phonon-Equivalent of Consciousness (Phon-E-C), and Neutrino-Equivalent of Consciousness (Neut-E-C). Each one of the four constituents is well known in mainstream science, conformon to Prigogine’s work, photon to Einstein’s work, phonon to Leon Cooper’s work, and neutrino to Pauli’s work. I picked up these four while developing a twelve-word model of consciousness (The Dynamic Web of Supracortical Consciousness, 1987, p.24). They are ingredients of micro vibratory physics of Subtle energy (Conquering the brain, 1995, pp.116-119) and Information holograph [31]. Except for conformon, others are detectable and measurable with available equipment.

Subtle energy

Characteristically, each one is (i) beyond particle-antiparticle opposites, (ii) massless or acquires mass through interaction with the Higgs Boson, (iii) colorless or chargeless, (iv) virtually abundant in the universe across the nested hierarchy of nature, and (v) accessible to everything and everyone ‘ad libitum’. They also seem (vi) ‘conscious’ since they are (vii) sourced from consciousness. They exhibit (viii) interpenetration of space, time, and intent in their behavior, meaning a carrier of form, energy and intent (‘energy’). Korean scientist Sungchul Ji was the first to formulate, around 1972, the concept of ‘energy’ as the hybrid union of information (‘gn-’) and energy (‘-ergy’) in the context of photon and conformon [32]. He expanded on Ilya Prigogine’s original conceptualization of conformons. The dissipative structure of the living state is maintained by photons and phonons to keep the state far from equilibrium.

Their subtlety is contributed by information and their presumed connection to the subtle part of life and consciousness. Within Planck’s scale, they connect consciousness with Quantum Mechanics and contribute to the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB).

Subtle Energy is conceptually linked with the Scalar fields, which, unlike electromagnetic fields, oscillate vertically with compression and expansion, move faster than light without violating relativity, assume shapes (e. g., toroidal) capable of passing through electromagnetic shields. It operates only in specific, individualistic situations, in cells or cell-components and the human brain in a receptive ZPE state. Scalar fields convey subtle energy. The syncytium-supported cardiac consciousness seems a more favorable target of subtle energy than the networksupported neural consciousness.

Subtle energy is sourced from, and is utilized by consciousness to facilitate the highest levels of informational communication of wisdom across cognitive, biological and physical hierarchy. The holonomic wisdom respects individual autonomy and maintains several autonomous systems together. A major financial resource of the autonomic systems is information-sourced dark energy. Signal-based automated systems are funded by matter-sourced tangible energy. Dark energy-subtle energy connection could be found in neutrinos: some of the neutrinos are the darkest matter.

Harnessing dark energy, and part of subtle energy (neutrinos), may fix our energy crisis.

Information holograph

Science is familiar with classical and quantum holographs and their utilities. Information holography is not yet fully explained in physical science. In combination, a conformon, a photon, a phonon, and a neutrino constitute an information hologram Figure 4. It exhibits unexpected and amazing behaviors, connecting nonlocal subquantum phenomenal nests with the quantum mechanical or classical nests of nature.

Targets of Information Holograph and Subtle Energy

Information holograph operates through the self of the cognitive faculty; therefore, effective only on a cognitive entity. Subtle energy targets matter, spherical proteins like histone, ribosome, and exosome of a biological cell. While the Conformon (conformity) and Neutrino (openness) remain essential for the structural integrity and receptivity of the spherical proteins, the rhythm-substrate Phonon and dynamicity-substrate Photon in the information hologram are involved in active manifestation of similar vibrational memory in the 4-D biological world.xies and universes are identical in substance and in properties.

The nested arrangement of nature-consciousness

The whole of Genesis could be described based on a Pentane Model of Nature-Consciousness Figure 5. From the depths of nest V, operates consciousness, the ground with an executive front. Nest IV (sub-subquantum) is the operative location of the ‘self’ and ‘life’. In the nest III (subquantum), operators are mind, information, intelligence, feelings and memory. In the nest II, applicable are the laws and principles of quantum physics. The nest I is where the laws and principles of classical physics are observed.

Energy Triad

Subtle energy originates from the executive front of consciousness at the junction of nests V and IV of the natureconsciousness spectrum. Dark energy originates in the nest III during the Information-split phenomenon. Matter-based conventional energy originates from the cognitive life-forms at the ZPE through which nests III and I communicate, and at the quantum void through which nests II and I communicate Figure 6a. Solar panel and fossil fuel energy originate in nest I. The Energy Triad [33] is related to a three-tier management system of physical automation, biological autonomy and a suprabiological or cosmological holonomy. The economic paradox is that the cheapest, i.e., the most economical, subtle energy builds the costliest information-state, the wisdom, the sublime knowledge, the information crystal.

Origin of matter

Life as a source of matter produced both organic and inorganic compounds. Examples of the latter are H2O, CO2, gastric HCl, SiO2 for diatoms, CaCO3 in bones.

What Could or Could Not the CMT Account for?

CMT does not violate three constants of physics: Einstein’s constant, Planck’s constant, and the entropy barrier.

CMT remains silent on Quantum Gravity, the unification of the four forces of nature, String Theory, and Quantum Field Theory (QFT). From a bottom-up perspective, when we seek the singularity of relativity and quantum mechanics in quantum gravity, or in the unification of the four forces of nature, or of the strings of particles and waves (String Theory), we invite failure. The hard truth is that such a singularity does not exist. QFT, which includes nuances of information but lacks a cognitive ladder, faces the problem of Infinity.

In CMT, what exists immediately across ZPE and quantum void/discontinuity in the form of a singularity is the singularity of Information. Ascending the ladder of cognition, one can access the singularity of Wisdom, the executive front of Will. Wisdom and will are objective properties of consciousness. Consciousness is the ultimate Point of Singularity Figure 6b. Point mathematics can begin from the top, Consciousness Wisdom Information, or the point of information split. Life-form is the Model of Singularity of all cognitive and physical operators. Life-form is where relativity (spacetime) and quantum energy mechanics operate unitedly.

Two other problems of PMT, the Horizon Problem of uniformity of temperature and the Flatness Problem of balancing the density, are purely physical. Whether subtle ‘life’, as the Head of Management, has any role in solving those physical problems remains to be examined.

Caution: We never try to get out of the physical universe horizontally. The horizontal border is at a never-ending distance. We pierce the boundary of the universe vertically, cognitively, to reach the void III.

Both PMT and CMT have defined entities in their backgrounds: Subtle Energy and Information Holograph in CMT, and the cosmic microwave background (CMB) in PMT. How the CMT background contributes to the CMB remains to be examined. Based on observations and analysis of the physical nature of the CMB, the expanding universe, and abundance of light elements, the scientists extrapolate the physical laws backwards to have a singularity in the Big Bang model, an explosive beginning 13.8 billion years ago. In CMT, the Universe originates from the cool splitting of Information in quietude.

The Science of the Plasm

The alternate nomenclature of the Essence of the Multiversity is Multiversal plasm. The psychic faculty operates on the ground of hypothetical psych plasm to which there are supposed contributions of exotic quantum matter states (e.g., superfluid, super solid, etc.). Life-forms operate within protoplasm. Diving into their connections with plasma cosmology in physics is an interesting research frontier.

Cognitive Transcendence Influences Science

Science of Multiverse is inextricably intertwined with the Science of Transcendence; transcendence to ZPE/Quantum void (level-I), transcendence across ZPE/Quantum void (level-II), and transcendence (level-III) across the boundary of the universe: Triple Transcendence Figure 7. With such transcendence, there are huge expectations in the cognitive evolution of Homo sapiens. The second and third transcendence offer several ontological reversals with key turning points in the growth of transdisciplinary, interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary science. The Science of Divinity [34] in different schools sees the light for growth with the support of funding agencies.

Consciousness, CMT and Neuroscience

The brain is not the source of consciousness. It is a holographic sensor for environmental, universal, and multiversal consciousness, as well as consciousness-sourced subtle energy. It is also the most favorable workplace for the cognitive faculty and, therefore, is considered the cognitive organ. The brain is the organ that manifests behavior. Consciousness is Singular, but the multiplicity is observed because of the number of such cognitive homes. The brain is also an organ for experiencing, imagining, and dreaming. Immersive neuroscience is an emerging frontier in multiversal neuroscience, where the brain with multilevel (classical, quantum, phenomenological, and to remain aligned to Mother Nature) integrity remains immersed in, and operates, staying aligned with the multiversal consciousness. A transmissive brain is involved in the generation of intuitive, illumined, and revealed truth. A transmissive brain makes the unknown Imagined, imagined Intelligible, intelligible Possible, possible Verifiable, and finally verifiable Verified. Both CMT and PMT are constructed with the essential support from the human brain. The great victory in the purpose of this cognitive brain is to identify consciousness as an Objective Reality (OR) across the cognitive voids.

Life-Form is the Model for Studying Singularity

Being conscious, the biological cell is a model to study Singularity in Consciousness, the cognitive subjectivity and the physical objectivity, of different information states along the ladder of cognition, of space-time relativity and quantum mechanics of energy, and of holonomy, autonomy and automation.

Conclusion

CMT, having a 40-year-long incubation period since 1985, is built from the deeper sub-subquantum and subquantum voids by using the combined methodology of the Greek Trio, Socrates, Plato and Aristotle, respectively, abstraction, reasoning, and rationalization. The universe is proposed to begin in the subquantum void with Information-split creating space time and dark energy, which replaces the Big Bang of PMT based on the physical quantum void. In the discussion part, CMT has been compared with PMT, value addition by CMT is mentioned, the possibilities of collaboration between CMT and PMT are explored, the science of transcendence is highlighted, and the singularity in consciousness is focused on. The Model of study has been identified.

The purpose of the creation of this multiverse

Nothing is complete without its teleology and purpose. The Genesis is a play, born out of the Ground and Executive states of consciousness, to create self-similar (often dissimilar) entities to enjoy the game in relationships within strict rules and logics. This is a play of down streaming love of the creator and the upstreaming faith and devotion of the created. There are often unfortunate long diversions, partial success, or even failures. However, nothing immortal is lost. It is a play and play only.

The Universe we Live in: The Anthropic Principle

We are a live-in partner of the universe. “It is not only that man is adapted to the universe. The universe is adapted to man” (John Archibald Wheeler). Supracortical consciousness was published in 1985. In 1986, John D. Barrow and Frank J. Tipler published their Cosmological Anthropic Principle (CAP), probably the ultimate of what the physicist could comprehend: “The observed values of all physical and cosmological quantities are not equally probable but they take on values restricted by the requirement that there exist sites where carbon-based life can evolve and by the requirement that the universe be old enough for it to have already done so.”— Weak Anthropic Principle […] The universe “must have those properties which allow life to develop within it at some stage in its history.”—Strong Anthropic Principle. “Intelligent informationprocessing must come into existence in the Universe, and, once it comes into existence, it will never die out.”—Final Anthropic Principle [35].

Human Possibility of Returning to the Source

Can a spiritually cognizant human being return to his/her Source? Yes, by uniting individual cognition with multiversal cognition, chanting and surrendering to Multiversal Musical Code AUM that helps shed extra luggage bringing us aligned with the Objective Realty, inviting subtle energy to act on the material body, and letting the information holograph to guide the ‘self’. In the author’s synthesis of science and spirituality, each of the four subtle energy components embodies one Goddess: Conformon- E-C Maheshwari, Phonon-E-C Mahalakshmi, Photon-E-C Mahakali, and Neutrino-E-C Mahaswaraswati.

Immortality and Mortality of the Multiverse and Universe

Are the Multiverse, Universe and their constituent’s perishable? Is it cyclical? In biology, if there is life, there has to be death, too. Creation by fission has no natural death. Creation by conjugation has an in-built programmed death, a principle highlighted by the biologist Lynn Margulis [36]. Incidentally, her first husband was Carl Sagan, an accomplished astronomer and astrophysicist. In August 1994, she published, “The certainty of death was absent at the origin of life. Unlike humans and other mammals, many organisms do not age and die. The process of programmed, inevitable death evolved only after our symbiotic microbial ancestors, some two billion years ago, became sexual individuals.” Consciousness, its executive fronts under different names, and the creations of self and life by fission, never suffer from death. The mind exists till the dissolution of duality. Information created by the conjugation of two entities has death. Since our universe’s time begins with the informationsplit phenomenon, this universe also suffers from annihilation. The primitive multiverse and the Essence of the Multiversity (Multiversal plasm) are immortal. Consciousness is immortal. The Essence of the Multiversity is immortal. Multiverse is steady. The universe is mortal and cyclical.
