The historical contribution of Shaharom Husain in literature especially in the writing of drama has been a study and reference by local students and researchers in various scopes and literary approaches that prove the importance of this figure as the pioneer of modern Malay drama. Most of the essays and studies of literary writers such as Mana Sikana, Zakaria Ariffin, Johan Jaaffar, Krishen Jit, Hashim Ismail, Misni Sidek and so on are included in this book to highlight the contribution of this important figure in his role in the development of an intimate drama in Malaysia once used traditional poetry style, especially pantun and lyric poetry.
