Prof. Dr. Eng. Taher Rajab Kaddar is a full time Professor at Department of Textile Industries Mechanical Engineering and their Technology in Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, in Damascus University, Syria. He completed his PhD at "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University of IASI, in 1985 and subsequently worked as a researcher and the head of the textile division, and then head of the studies department in the General Organization of Textile Industries(GOTI) in Damascus, Syria. A lecturer in Aleppo, Al-Baath and Damascus Universities at the at Textile Departments. Assistant director of the Directorate of Manufacturing and Chairman of Scientific Research and Industrial Development Department in the Military Housing Establishment (MILIHOUSE), and then director of Manufacturing Directorate. Management representative of MILIHOUSE for quality management systems. Member of the teaching staff Professor in the rank of excellent and first class. Head of Textile and spinning Engineering department in Faculty of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering in Al-Baath University previously, member of the Central Committee for Quality and accreditation at Al-Baath University. Head of scientific committee-of AL Basel exhibition for inventions and creations, Damascus , Syria (1992-2003), and he has 10 patents. He was golden awarded several times from different parties as WIPO. He published 14 books and more than 20 research papers. Editor Board Member and reviewer for many International Journals. Tahers main activities and responsibilities are Education & training & Consulting & Scientific Research in Higher Education, especially in Textile Industries.

He has more than 37 articles in international journals. In addition, he is author for seven books in historical textile conservation. He is joined and present in more than 21 international conferences. Harby E. Ahmed is supervisor of more than 21 master and PhD thesis. Ivan Varalica is a Professor in the Department of Clothing and Textile Science at University of Zagreb, where he has been since 1994. From 2013 to 2018 he served as Department Chair. From 2012 to 2014 he served as Chief Scientist of Textilex, Inc. During 2003-2004 he was a Visiting Associate Professor at the Laboratoire dTextile de Paris VII (LIP24). He received a B.S. from University of Zagreb in 1982, and an M.S. from the State University of Croatia at Zagreb. He received his Ph.D. in Clothing Science from the University of Pusca Bistra in 1994. From 1984 to 1994 he worked at Izmisljena Kompanija u Nepostojecem Mjestu, eventually as a Senior Clothing and Textile Scientist.

He is principal author of over 40 research publications, 326 citations and presented research at several international conferences. He is a member of several editorial boards of research journals and is currently a professor and Research Coordinator, Technology Department at Dadabhoy Institute of Higher Education, Karachi. Previously he served as professor at BUITEMS, Quetta and associate professor and secretary at the Advanced Study and Research Board at NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi.
