This analysis investigates the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of Mobike in the rapidly evolving bike-sharing market, particularly focusing on the integration of electric bikes (e-bikes) into urban mobility solutions. Mobike’s strengths include robust bike capabilities, significant intellectual property through patents, and solid supplier relationships, which provide a competitive edge in the market. The company also benefits from strong government support for e-bikes in China and the environmental advantages of shared electric bikes, which contribute to reduced emissions and traffic congestion. However, challenges such as improper parking practices, inconsistent municipal policies, and safety concerns negatively impact public sentiment and hinder the growth of bike-sharing systems. Opportunities for Mobike include optimizing integration with public transport systems, using big data for credit ratings, and capitalizing on international markets.
