Abstract
We show that masturbation while wearing a latex glove is significantly more pleasurable than when the same act of self-love was performed with a bare palm (P < 0.05).
Keywords: Latex; Polymer; Monomer; Surfactants; Emulsion; Herbivorous insects
Introduction
Latex is a stable dispersion of polymer microparticles in an aqueous medium. It is found in nature, but synthetic latexes can be made by polymerizing a monomer such as styrene that has been emulsified with surfactants. Latex as found in nature is a milky fluid found in 10% of all flowering plants (angiosperms). It is a complex emulsion consisting of proteins, alkaloids, starches, sugars, oils, tannins, resins, and gums that coagulate on exposure to air. It is usually exuded after tissue injury. In most plants, latex is white, but some have yellow, orange, or scarlet latex. Since the 17th century, latex has been used as a term for the
fluid substance in plants. It serves mainly as a defense against herbivorous insects. Latex is not to be confused with plant sap; it is a separate substance, separately produced, and with separate functions. The word latex is also used to refer to natural latex rubber, particularly non-vulcanized rubber. Such is the case in products like latex gloves, latex condoms and latex clothing. Many reports [1] note that the use of latex in sex play is greatly enjoyable. Here we set out to explore the enjoyment felt by four men during manual stimulation of the penis with and without a latex glove being worn.
Methods
The authors locked themselves in a 1987 Ford Fiesta, played “Anal Academy 9” on a laptop computer and pleasured themselves manually either i) with a bare palm, or ii) while wearing a latex glove (large sized, Geoff’s Latex Supplies Inc, Maidstone, UK). Masturbation was continued until orgasm. A cross over study was then performed in which each protagonist pleasured the other, again until orgasm. In both cases, the receiver of penile stimulation recorded their satisfaction on a scale of 1-10. The semen produced was collected in a bucket and then consumed orally by Dr Timmy, who scored it on a scale of 1-10.
Results
On both self-masturbation and stimulation by others, we find that the wearing of a latex glove during onanism results in a significant increase in reported satisfaction (Figure 1). The combined volume of semen collected was 245ml. This was consumed by Dr Timmy, who reported a favourable taste (Figure 2).
Discussion
A dildo is a sex toy, often explicitly phallic in appearance, intended for sexual penetration or other sexual activity during masturbation or with sex partners. Dildos can be made from a number of materials and shaped like an erect human penis. They are typically 4–6-inch (10–15cm) in length, about the average length of an erect penis, but some may be longer, and circumference is typically 4–5-inch (10–13cm).
Conclusion
We conclude that latex glove use during masturbation results in increased pleasure to the receiver
