Abstract
Modern studies on acupuncture have highlighted the involvement of peculiar organic structures that prime quantum mechanisms when activated with specific stimuli. The knowledge of these mechanisms amplifies the therapeutic action and makes it more specific and effective in all of sectors of horse medicine.

Introduction
The Quantum Organism
According to functional systems theory, the organism has an intrinsic capacity for informational homeostasis both at the level of individual organic molecules and at the level of the organism as a whole, which allows it to maintain its order thanks to the exchange of information with its environment internal and external. Functional informational homeostasis allows for self-regulation of physiological functions; blocked homeostasis induces disease. It has been proved the existence of an electromagnetic field in the living being that forms a series of dynamic paths for electromagnetic signals that travel in quantized form without dissipating energy. These signals take the form of solitary waves called solitons. These signals are capable of inducing self-organization within the system, so that the state of health coincides with a normal flow of energy and information; the state of disease with blocked flow and loss of coherence [1]. Living systems can be considered dissipative energy systems in which the exchange of water and entropy with the external environment ensures a decrease in internal entropy. In this way, a self-organization process takes place in which the organism takes energy from the sun, from food, from every possible external source and produces free energy, which is transformed into work, introducing the surplus energy to the outside and thus maintaining the balance of the system itself. The macroscopic body is based on a resonant bond, which induces a state of internal coherence. Living matter can be described as a liquid crystal in which connective tissue, collagen fibres and organic water in its interfacial state support the soliton flux [2]. The meridians coincide with long molecular chains in the connective tissue; stimulation of acupuncture points causes stable trafficking of solitons along these structures with consequent biological effects. Some studies [3-5] have showed the main role of fascia: it transmits the acupoint signal, it reshapes cytoskeleton, and in this way, it determines the integrity of tensional system (tensegrity) of the horse body.
Quantum Therapies
Systems capable of producing quantum energy variations such as to interact with the ordering field have been identified:
i. Use of the principle of self-referential typical of biofeedback systems: It corrects the answers through conscious contact, with the peculiarity of allowing an automatic process, which does not require the conscious and voluntary control of the subject (Osteopathy - Tuina - Fascial Therapy) [6,7].
ii. Use of the resonance principle: It supplies information in the form of photon-waves endowed with energy and frequency able to restore, through a quantum leap, the original engrams (Acupuncture – Haemo-acupuncture – Laser-acupuncture) [8-10].
iii. Use of reflexological models proven by clinical experience: The signals are induced on points or areas of high significance for structures and functions at a distance (ECIWO systems - Embryo Containing Information of the Whole Organism) [11,12].
iv. Use of signals of great purity and well below the stress threshold (Principle of Weber - Fechner; Energy Massage - Thought) [13,14].
It is possible employ many kinds of energies (Table 1).
Conclusion
Life takes place in a four-dimensional space-time continuum (Tao), regulated by feedback mechanisms which induce a decrease in entropy by virtue of an internal coherence of the phenomenon itself, and in which a particular equilibrium dominates flowing and culminating in self-poiesis. The evolution of modern veterinary medicine is above all an evolution of thought, a reconsideration of the concepts of health, disease, healing, in the light of modern scientific theories and with the contribution of the philosophical structure that underlie TCM, which represent an impressive heritage of knowledge because, as Maturana and Varela affirm: “living systems are cognitive systems, and living as a process is a process of cognition” [15].
