Opinion
Written by Al-Alamatus Syed Muhammad Bin Salim bin Hafizil Alwi Al-Husaini Al-Hadhrami Al-Syafi’i and translated by Abdullah Basmih, this book explains the law of menstruation, nourishment and istihadah. Menstruation is a blood out of women nine years and over, in good health, at certain times. When a woman who is nine or more years old, seeing blood out of her penis, she must refrain from doing prayer and fasting. And haram also on her husband had sexual intercourse with her, whether the blood was black or red or yellow or the cloudy were all menstruation. If the blood lasts overnight (24 hours) or more, it is a menstrual blood. If he stops before passing a day and he does not return within fifteen days of his exit, he is a blood disease (not menstruation), it is obligatory for women to pray. Likewise, the fasting left when it was obligatory upon him. If the blood were to be stopped before a day before, it would be back on the second day or on the third day until fifteen days, and with the blood returning twenty-four hours the blood would be menstruation, it is more than fifteen days. If not then he is condemned by the law of mustahadah (the woman who comes to the blood of istihadah - not the menstrual blood).
At least one menstrual cycle is overnight for 24 hours, and the blood comes as usual as if they were placed in a lump of cotton or else the cotton would be covered with blood. Usually the period is six or seven days and the longest period of menstrual period is fifteen days. If the blood goes out less than a day or more than fifteen days and fifteen nights then the blood is the blood of goodness. The offspring are the blood that comes out after birth. At least the time out is short and most are forty days and at most sixty days. If the blood goes out in excess of sixty days then it is the blood of istihadah. At least two sacred periods of menstrual period are fifteen days fifteen nights, and there is no limit to the majority. If a woman comes to her for seven days, and the blood stops for ten days, then she turns back, then the blood is the blood of goodness, because it does not pass between two menstrual periods at least. The purest period between postpartum and menstruation is one-second (intermittent).
Istihadah is a lasting hadas, which is the blood that comes out of non-menstrual periods and in non-partial periods, or less than one-day-night in the period of menstruation. The law of the woman who came to the blood of goodness is that she is holy. She is obliged to perform prayers and fasting and her husband may interact with her. The woman who comes to her blood when she begins to perform the obligatory prayer for her bathing the penis and filling her with cotton and then she does not care about it. He was not obliged to fill his penis with cotton unless he needed so and he did not fast at that time.
If he does not need cotton, or he is fasting or the cotton is inconvenient, then it is not obligatory, even the fasting woman should leave the act of filling his cock with cotton. After that he must take ablution. Everything mentioned should be done after the time of entry. In the time of taking ablution he should carry the mualat ie to wash the second member before drying the first and subsequent members. After taking ablution, he must hasten to pray. If he is delayed, he must wash his penis again, and put the cotton into it and take care of it. Then take ablution again. Unless he is delayed because of something related to prayer such as waiting for the pilgrimage, he is not obliged to repatriate. The unlawful things for women who came menstruation and childbirth were praying, circumambulation (circumambulating the House), touching the holy Quran, lifting it, stopping at the mosque and reading the Quran. Besides that, he is also fasting. He can not fast in the time he or she comes in menstruation and childbirth, and his illegitimate fasting is even revered.
