Pietro Savo, a respected lecturer at, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Rolls Royce, United Technologies Corporation, APICS, Joint Military Commands, and published author. He formally employed for 18 years with Sikorsky Aircraft and six years as a Direct Aerospace & Defense Business Operations and Lean Manufacturing Consultant for the U.S. Air Force Small Business Manufacturing Technical Assistance Production Program (MTAPP), Air Force Outreach Program Office and the Department of Defense supply chain missions. He is an Igor I. Sikorsky Historical Archives Trustee, and mentored by the late Yuzuru Ito of Japan, the founder of Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) and Ito University at United Technologies Corporation (UTC).

Yang Li

Profile:
Yang Li received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees both from Chongqing University in 2003 and 2006, respectively. He worked in telecom industry of China between January 2007 and September 2008 before starting his Ph.D. program at University of Sheffield, UK. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Automatic Control and Systems Engineering under the advisory of Professor Stephen A. Billings at Sheffield University in September 2011. After one year of postdoctoral research with Professor D. G. Shen in the Department of Computer and Biomedical Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he joined Beihang University as an Associate Professor in the Department of Automation Sciences and Electrical Engineering starting in February, 2013. He was a Research Fellow at Laboratory for Computational Neuroscience, City University of Hong Kong from June to September, 2013. He has been in a number of professional and administrative committees. He is currently an Editor-in-Chief of the BIOINFO Mechanical Engineering, Associate Editors for Advances in Automobile Engineering, International Journal of Biomedical Engineering and Science, Chinese Journal of Stereology and Image Analysis, and also Guess Editor for Multimedia Tools and Applications, Neurocomputing. He served in organizing General Co-Chair of 2014 Medical Image Computing Workshop, and also served regularly as the reviewers of many international journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology, Signal Processing, Neurocomputing, etc.

Kok Keong Chong

Profile:
Chong Kok-Keong received B.Sc. (Hons) first class degree majoring in Physics from University of Malaya in 1998 and Ph.D. (Optical Engineering) degree from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2002. He is Professor in Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman teaching the subjects of Research Methods in Science & Engineering for Master and Ph.D. programmes, Renewable Energy, Solar Cell Technology and Optoelectronic. Besides he is also holding a post as Head of Programmes for Master of Engineering Science and Ph.D. in engineering. For research achievement, he has been working in the field of solar energy for about 15 years and his research interest including Concentrating Solar Power, High Concentrator Photovoltaic System, Solar Cell Technology, Photovoltaic System, Non-Imaging Focusing Technology and Solar Thermal System. To date, he has published more than 51 journal and conference papers with h-index = 10 (scopus) & total citations of 361 as well as four patents were filed in Malaysia, China and USA. Up to today, he has been principal investigator and project leader for six external and two internal research grants with total amount of RM 3.26 Million, including the largest research grant with total amount of RM 1.988 Million from Ministry of Energy, Water and Green Technology. For the recognition to his work, he has been honored to receive JCI Ten Young Outstanding Malaysian (TOYM) 2013 Award, Associate Fellow of ASEAN Academy of Engineering & Technology 2013, Global Young Academy 2014, Young Affiliate Fellow for The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) 2011 and Young Science Network-Academy of Science Malaysia 2012 as well as UTAR Research Excellence Award 2010 and UTAR Innovation Excellence Award 2012 & 2014. For the community services, he is appointed as member of Working Group on Solar Photovoltaic System (WG/E/8-1), SIRIM, Accreditation Committee Member of Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA), and reviewers in world renowned journals such as Progress in Photovoltaic, Solar Energy, Energy Conversion and Management, Journal of Solar Energy Engineering, Optics Express, Applied Optics, Sensors etc. For editorial services, he is member of editorial board in 11 international journals including The Scientific World Journal –ISI indexed journal (Hindawi Publishing Corporation), Frontiers in Energy Research: Solar Energy (Frontiers: a Swiss-based open access publisher part of the Nature Publishing Group family) etc.

Profile:
Qing-Hua Qin received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in mechanical engineering from Xi’an Highway University (currently Chang An University), China in 1982, earning his Master of Science degree in 1984 and Doctoral degree in 1990 from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in China. Both degrees are in applied mechanics. He joined the Department of Mechanics as an associate lecturer at HUST in 1984, and was promoted to lecturer of mechanics in 1987 during his PhD candidature period. After spending ten years lecturing at HUST, he was awarded the DAAD/K.C. Wong research fellowship in 1994, which enabled him to work at the University of Stuttgart in Germany for nine months. In 1995 he left HUST to take up a postdoctoral research fellowship at Tsinghua University, China, where he worked until 1997. He was awarded a Queen Elizabeth II fellowship in 1997 and a Professorial fellowship in 2002 at University of Sydney and stayed there till December 2003, both by the Australian Research Council, and is currently working as a professor in the Research School (RSE) of Engineering at the Australian National University (ANU), Australia. He was appointed a guest professor at HUST in 2000. He has published more than 200 journal papers and 7 books in the field of applied mechanics, and was a recipient of the J.G. Russell Award from the Australian Academy of Science.
